On June 1, 2018 (Friday), K-Opticom Corporation (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka, President / Representative Director: Takao Fujino), which operates the mobile phone service provider mineo, will begin offering sales of AWA as a newly available entertainment option service.
This endeavor is part of mineo's effort to provide new entertainment options such as "music," "video" and "digital books," with the start of sales of AWA within its music category. These sales of AWA are the first ever such endeavor as an option service for a mobile phone service.

AWA began providing services in May 2015, and now streams approximately 45 million music tracks.
AWA has developed into one of the nation's largest domestic music streaming services, offering approximately 10 million playlists (including those from celebrity users) available nowhere else. Currently, AWA is offering an extended free trial period (3 months instead of the standard 1 month) for first-time users registered in the Standard Plan (*1). Furthermore, as part of a 3-year anniversary campaign, newly registered members of the Standard Plan will be eligible by lottery to win prizes such as ambie wireless headphones, DENON Wi-Fi speakers, and Amazon gift cards totaling ¥100,000. Our goal is to continue to provide services that allow users to experience the joys of "encountering" and "reuniting" with music, expanding features and tracks, while working to stimulate and empower the entire music industry of Japan.
