From Friday, August 6, 2021, AWA has functionally linked with the high-quality music player app "Onkyo HF Player" provided by Onkyo Co., Ltd., an operating company of the Onkyo Group. In addition, we have been collaborating with this company on technology such as joint development of AWA's "equalizer" feature.
"HF Player" is a music player app that supports playback of high-resolution audio sources on iOS and Android devices. (*1) It is a music player that enables high-definition HD equalization operation of high-resolution sound sources and music in iTunes library in more than 16,000 individual bands.
By providing AWA features to HF Player, users will be able to listen to 90 million songs provided by AWA on the HF Player app. Users will also be able to view and play their own favorite song list found on AWA. In addition, the HF Player's DSP allows users to enjoy many of these songs with their favorite sound quality and listening settings. It is also possible to play a list that confuses the normal sound source or high-resolution sound source saved in the local file with the streaming sound source provided by AWA. (*2)
In the future, we plan to expand the features that enable searching for AWA songs with the HF Player app and to build various services that strengthen cooperation with Onkyo.
