Announcing the September, 2015 song and playlist playback rankings.
The top spots were occupied by western songs that are heard daily on numerous occasions including theme songs for TV shows and movies, as well as songs used in commercials. The top three spots each ended up exceeding 1 million plays for the month, respectively.
The top spots for September’s playlist rankings tended to be ones that brought together the most western songs over the past four months. We have also seen a new trend in hit playlists, with two of the top ten spots occupied by playlists themed around “relaxation”.
