On the date of March 19th, 2025 the AWA Terms of Use and Community guidelines will be changed as follows:
Amendments to the Terms of Use
- Deleted the description of service areas in Article 6
- Added a description of the structure of the Terms of Use and PRIVACY POLICY to Article 23 on the handling of personal information
- Changed the wording "handling business" to "business"
Amendments to the Community Guidelines
- Added illegal gambling and money laundering activities to the prohibited items
- Deleted the description of commercial and advertising purposes from the prohibited items
- Deleted the description of links to similar services from the prohibited items
AWA TERMS OF USE
Article 1 (Terms)
These terms apply to all services utilized by the user, including the services applications (hereafter referred to as "the applications"), the services website, contents provided in the services, and accompanying products and services.
The user is considered as giving their consent to these terms at any of the points in time stipulated in the below items.
When the user downloads the application, runs it for the first time, and starts using this service.
When the user acquires the code that makes it possible to embed (hereinafter referred to as embed code) the Embed Player (defined separately in these terms) into a website, blog or SNS etc. that the user manages (hereinafter referred to as the user's website etc.)
Further, the user is considered as giving their consent to the terms when the specified application for this service is completed using the service application method specified by a Processor prescribed by the Company in the following List of Specified Processors (hereinafter referred to as "Other Processor").
AWA may revise these terms when it is in the general benefit of the user and does not run counter to these terms. In such a case, the user shall be subject to the altered terms.
Before AWA makes revisions to these terms, it shall determine the time when the revisions shall become effective, and after they have been revised, shall notify the user through the method specified in Article 4 regarding the revisions to these terms and the date the revisions have gone into effect.
Article 6 (Use of the Services, etc.)
Minors must obtain the consent of a parental authority to use the services.
AWA may discontinue providing the services at any time if it has been determined or found that either of the following items applies to a user of the services.
Compulsory discontinuation of services has occurred in the past due to a violation of these terms
AWA otherwise deems that a user is ineligible for services
Article 23 (Handling of Personal Information)
Matters relating to handling of information of users of the services (including information concerning users' terminal usage history of the services and/or other services, terminal identification information and user personal information) shall be in accordance with our separately stipulated Privacy Policy and within the scope required to accomplish the purpose of use described therein.
This Privacy Policy constitutes a part of the Terms of Use. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please refrain from using the service.
AWA COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Prohibited Acts
Please do not post any content or remark that fall under the prohibited acts listed below on any “AWA Community Functions”.
In the event that any content or remark posted is applicable or may be applicable to the prohibited acts, we may delete the post (text, audio, video, photo, link, or any other content) and/or suspend the user from using the “AWA Community Functions”, as necessary.
In such cases, we shall be under no obligation to disclose the reason for the deletion or suspension.
Anything that violates the law, the AWA Terms of Use, the Guidelines, or public order and morality
Anything that violates the property, honor, trust, intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or any others rights of third parties or Us
Defamation, groundless accusations, falsehood, harassment, discriminatory or violent expressions, scams, Illegal gambling, obscenity, explicit sexual expressions, or similar content
Money laundering activities and activities that induce or encourage such activities
Anything related to or implies relation to crime, criminal threats, criminal instructions, and anything that encourages or may lead to criminal activity.
Anything that significantly deviates from the purpose of this app and service.
URLs that include the following
URLs that allow users to install malicious software
URLs intended for phishing purposes
Anything containing personally identifiable information (name, address, phone number, email address, etc.) or anything posted for the purpose of collecting personal information through devious means
Anything deemed unethical, such as disclosing trade secrets of another person or entity
Religious activity and recruitment
Anything that hinders the operation of this app and service or the usage of this app and service by users and third parties
Anything intended to impersonate another user or third party
Any other content that we deem inappropriate
Please be aware that the “AWA Community Features” functions are designed to automatically block anything containing defamation, discrimination, and any content that is in violation of public order and morality as well as individual privacy.
