AWA will begin its "3rd Anniversary Campaign" on May 10th, 2018 (Thu).
We decided to host the "3rd Anniversary Campaign" ahead of AWA's 3rd anniversary on May 27th (Sun).
We will select lucky winners at random out of everyone who newly signs up for the AWA Standard plan during the campaign period and present them with ambie wireless earbuds. 

The "ambie wireless earcuff," which is the prize, is a new type of earbuds that lets you listen to music while doing other things without blocking your hearing, as it does not shut out outside noise, allowing you to enjoy music while working, walking around town, doing chores at home, and many other situations.
As AWA is famous for being able to recommend playlists that are optimal for various situations, we have succeeded in providing a more complete music experience through our collaboration with ambie…

AWA released an application dedicated to Amazon's TV platform "Fire TV" on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

Thanks to this release, those who have "Fire TV" will be able to use AWA seamlessly with a dedicated interface for TV screen. "Fire TV" allows you to play music from connected or built-in TV, check song charts on the service and create playlists so you can enjoy the world's music the same way you would watch TV...

With this update, it is now possible for your device to automatically identify the track and artist for music playing in your surroundings, even with your smartphone in your pocket or bag, just by turning on the Automatic Music Identification setting in the app. Each identified track will be added to a list, and the user can later check this list and perform instant playback of any of the tracks that were found...

AWA is running a “Three Free Months, Only Available Right Now! Happy Holidays Campaign” from December 26th, 2017 (Tuesday) to 3 PM on January 5th, 2018 (Friday).

To commemorate winning the “2017 Best App” Award—not counting gaming apps—in Google Play’s “Best of 2017” awards, which honor apps and games which became popular in Japan this year, AWA decided to hold a “Happy Holidays Campaign.” This campaign, which is valid for users who registered for the first time under the Standard plan, extends their one month free trial to three months (*1). The campaign is valid even for users whose free trials have already expired, so long as they have not previously registered for the Standard plan (*2).

AWA has partnered with Hunter Mountain Shiobara (Nasushiobara, Tochigi) and Tambara Ski Park (Numata, Gunma), both ski resorts operated by Tokyu Resort Service Co., Ltd. (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Tomoyuki Hayakawa).

During the campaign period of December 23, 2017 (Sat.) and March 31, 2018 (Sat.), visitors to these ski resorts can show the AWA app downloaded on their smartphone to receive a 500 JPY discount on a lift ticket purchased at the lift ticket sales gate (*1).

AWA also plans to give away a pair of lift day passes valid for the 2017-2018 season at Hunter Mountain Shiobara and Tambara Ski Park through AWA's official Twitter account to a lucky 25 couples (50 individuals) (*2)...

AWA has launched its new Equalizer feature for Android & iOS, as of November 16th, 2017.

This new equalizer feature by AWA allows users to manipulate music during playback in order to change the mood of the songs.
Users can adjust the volume of specific sound ranges, emphasize low or high notes, increase the volume of vocals, and more, making it possible to change the overall mood of songs during playback...

[Resolved] Regarding the issue wherein "This track is not available at the moment" is always displayed after selecting a track through the Music Identification feature

For the time period from August 4th at 9:00 PM through August 7th at 12:00 PM, 2017, a system error occurred which caused the message "This track is not available at the moment" to display when identifying a song with the Music Identification feature regardless of whether or not that track was available on AWA. This error has since been fixed....
